**Russia Repels Drone Attack**
Russian forces shot down 128 drones overnight on February 26. The drones targeted several Russian regions and occupied Crimea.
The attack involved different areas in Russia. Krasnodar Krai, for example, was hit by 83 drones. Another 30 were destroyed over Crimea. Eight drones were shot down over the Azov Sea, while five more were downed over the Black Sea. One drone each was also shot down in Bryansk and Kursk oblasts.
Residents reported explosions in Tuapse and Anapa cities in Krasnodar Krai. The airport in Sochi was closed due to a drone attack. The Tuapse sea trade port was also targeted, according to reports.
There were no casualties reported in the region. However, several houses were damaged. The governor of Krasnodar Krai said this.
Ukraine is known for launching deep strikes against Russian military and industrial facilities. Ukraine primarily uses drones developed domestically. These drones can travel long distances and target important sites.
Kyiv has been targeting Russia’s fossil fuel infrastructure to cut off the Kremlin’s funding source.
