Levan Davitashvili – Georgia‘s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Economy – attended the event announcing construction of a new Pullman hotel and residence complex in Tsikhisdziri. The project, which has already attracted $80 million in investment, is expected to boost Adjara‘s prominence as an international tourist destination.
Davitashvili stressed the project’s alignment to the country’s large scale tourism goals, which is to attract more high spending visitors from around the world.
During the construction phase, 500 jobs will be created. Once the hotel is officially opened, 250 permanent positions will be added. The five-star hotel will be operational by 2028. It is expected that sustainable development initiatives, yacht clubs, and goals for the reinstatement of sea passenger transport in Adjara Region will be implemented.
