Russian Drones Attack Kharkiv Medical Facility
On February 28, Russian drones attacked a medical facility in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. The attack caused a fire at the facility and damaged several other buildings nearby.
The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, reported that the drones also targeted areas near a gas station and a high-rise apartment complex. A shopping mall, car dealership, and fire station were among the structures damaged in the attack.
Emergency crews responded to multiple locations in central districts of the city. Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov said that all the strikes hit areas in the center of the city.
Seven people were injured in the drone attack, and 64 were rescued, including a child. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service made this announcement.
Kharkiv Oblast is often targeted by Russian missile, drone, and glide bomb attacks from across the border. On February 11, Russia carried out an airstrike on the village of Zolochiv in Kharkiv Oblast, injuring at least six people.
