**Russian Attacks Kill 8, Hurt 70 in Ukraine**
On February 5, Russian attacks killed at least eight civilians and injured at least 70 others across multiple regions of Ukraine.
**Missiles and Drones Hit Ukraine**
Russia launched two ballistic missiles and 104 Shahed-type attack drones against Ukraine overnight. Ukrainian air defenses shot down 57 of the drones over nine regions. Another 42 drones were lost in the airspace without causing damage.
**Regional Attacks Cause Most Casualties**
The majority of casualties occurred in Kharkiv Oblast, where a missile strike on the town of Izium killed five people and injured 55 others. A 6-year-old boy and two girls aged 14 and 16 were among the wounded. Two more people were hurt in other attacks across the region.
**Other Regions Also Affected**
In Donetsk Oblast, two civilians were killed in separate attacks in Pokrovsk and Druzhkivka. Another four people were wounded in the region over the past day. In Kherson Oblast, Russian attacks killed one person and injured eight others.
**Woman Wounded in Zaporizhzhia Oblast**
In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a 62-year-old woman was wounded by Russian shelling in the Polohy district.
