Georgia is undergoing a period of significant development. Shalva Papuashvili writes on social media that in Georgian politics a principle of responsibility is being established slowly, painfully but still.
As he points to, everyone, both at home and abroad, should understand the consequences of their calls, statements, and resolutions.
According to him, he said, what you dislike in Moldova, you cannot do in Georgia.
“Georgia has entered a period of significant development. Slowly and painfully but still, a principle as important as responsibility is being established within Georgian politics. Responsibility for words, actions and appeals to the nation and people.
It’s easy for people to throw words in the air. But everyone is responsible if they cause bullets. Georgians have already seen the consequences of irresponsible policy in the 1990s and in 2008. And who knows how many times more.
All people, both at home and abroad, should be aware of the potential harm that their calls, statements, and resolutions may cause.
It is a great honor to thank the 14 EU members who accepted responsibility for their roles and refused to sign this statement. It is important that a majority of EU member states did not support this text, which interferes in Georgian elections through influencing the will and opinion of the voters.
You can’t do in Georgia what you don’t want to in Moldova.
As for “delusion”. It is delusional for Russia to impose sanctions on Georgia and to demand that Mikheil Saakashvili be released, the creators of the torture system.
