Berdia Sichnava, representative of Interagency Coordination Council at the briefing at the Government Administration, announced that 165 new coronavirus cases were detected in Georgia over the past 24 hours.
“9197 tests have been performed in the past 24 hours. In the last 24 hour, 165 new cases of infection were confirmed. The total number confirmed cases detected since Covid-19’s pandemic outbreak is 265,722.
“The Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded 57 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hour, followed by Imereti with 31 cases, and Kakheti with 17 cases.
“The daily test-positivity is 1.79% and 2.5% for the past seven days.
“639 people are now recovered, bringing the total to 258,732.
“Unfortunately, 11 new deaths have occurred.” “The total number of deaths now stands at 3363”, said he.
Currently, 101 of 425 critically ill patients require mechanical ventilation.
