Shalva Papuashvili, the Chairman of Parliament, has left for Brussels for a working trip to the NATO Headquarters. He will be taking part in today’s NATO-Georgia Commission meeting (NGC).
The Speaker of Parliament will give a speech during the NATO-Georgia Commission meeting.
During the visit a meeting with the Deputy Sec-General of the Alliance will take place.
According to Irakli Beraia of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense and Security of Georgia the first official visit of Georgia’s Speaker of Parliament to NATO headquarters has a symbolism and substantive significance, which confirms NATO integration as a priority.
The delegation consists of Irakli Beraia as Chairman of Defense and Security Committee; Nikoloz Sakharadze as Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee; and Lasha Darsalia as First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs.
