Radoslaw Sikorski, the Polish Foreign Minister, announced on October 22 that Poland will close down the Russian Consulate at Poznan because of alleged sabotage efforts from Russia.
Over the last few years, several suspected spy networks, allegedly operated by Minsk or Moscow, were discovered in Poland.
Warsaw has become one of the most ardent supporters of Ukraine ever since the full-scale invasion began, resulting in a dramatic deterioration in relations with Russia and Belarus.
Sikorski wrote in a blog post on X that “Russia is waging a war of hybridization”.
“It’s a sabotage attempt on Polish territory.” It is my duty (to) react decisively. The first step would be to close the Russian Consulate at Poznan.”
According to Russian state-run media, Moscow will retaliate to the decision.
Recently, an infiltration attempt by the Russian mercenary Wagner group was discovered in Krakow.
Last week, the Krakow District Court opened the trial of two Russians, Andrei G. & AlekseiT., whom the Wagner Group had allegedly hired to distribute posters in Krakow encouraging people to join their organization.
The charges against them relate to foreign intelligence activities, and their involvement with a group of international armed terrorists.
They allegedly also worked in other European Cities, including Berlin and Paris. They hung flyers and distributed stickers with QR Codes for enlistment.
At a conference held in Prague on October 9, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky stated that Russia is responsible for 80 percent of all foreign influence operations around the world.
Lipavsky believes that Europe must increase its vigilance in order to combat such threats.
“We need to be more determined in our fight against Kremlin influences than we have been so far.” Lipavsky stated that the solution lies in strategic communications, sanctions, exposing criminals, and using existing legal measures.
According to the U.N. Population Fund, Ukraine has the lowest birth rate in Europe, and the number refugees has risen to 6.7 millions. The full-scale invasion scheduled for 2022 will only exacerbate the already grave decline.
Zelensky, citing military intelligence, said that two brigades from North Korea, each with up to 6,000 soldiers, are currently being trained in Russia. “We expect the world to respond with a firm and concrete response.”
Kyrylo Budanov, the military intelligence chief, said that he was waiting for the first units to arrive tomorrow in the direction of Kursk. He did not specify the number of units.
The leaders discussed Russia’s conflict with Ukraine, the BRICS agenda and bilateral relations. Putin said that Russia hopes to increase its cooperation with China “on all international platforms”.

BRICS is a grouping of emerging economies that includes Russia, China, India and Brazil.
This is Pyongyang’s first public response to multiple reports from Kyiv or Seoul about such a deployment.
The loan will go towards Ukraine’s military expenditures. Kyiv can invest in key equipment for fighting Russia, including artillery, air defence, and wider equipment support.
The Air Force reported that Ukrainian forces destroyed 46 of 60 Shahed drones launched overnight by Russia.
A government source told South Korean news agency Yonhap that, “while watching signs of North Korea and Russia military cooperation, response measures will be taken step by step.”
Russian local authorities claim that Ukrainian drones attacked four Russian plants, including three distilleries, overnight on October 22, including in the oblasts of Tula, Tambov, and Voronezh.
