Poland closes down the Russian Consulate in Poznan over sabotage claims

Radoslaw Sikorski, the Polish Foreign Minister, announced on October 22 that Poland will close down the Russian Consulate at Poznan because of alleged sabotage efforts from .
Over the last few years, several suspected spy networks, allegedly operated by Minsk or , were discovered in Poland.

They allegedly also worked in other European Cities, including Berlin and Paris. They hung flyers and distributed stickers with QR Codes for enlistment.
At a conference held in on October 9, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky stated that Russia is responsible for 80 percent of all foreign influence operations around the world.
Lipavsky believes that Europe must increase its vigilance in order to combat such threats.
“We need to be more determined in our fight against Kremlin influences than we have been so far.” Lipavsky stated that the solution lies in strategic communications, sanctions, exposing criminals, and using existing legal measures.
