At the NATO Foreign Ministerial conference, Mevlut Cavusoglu, the Turkish Foreign Minister, said: “The European Union must extend from the Balkans up to Georgia and include Ukraine and Moldova.”
According to the Turkish FM the EU should show unity to ensure security.
“We must rediscover unity in order to guarantee the new European security. This vision can only be extended by being exclusive and derived from the EU’s enlargement plans. The EU should expand from the Balkans, including Ukraine and Moldova, to Georgia. “This region is incomplete without my country, Turkey,” he said.
Bucharest, Romania is the venue for the NATO Foreign Ministers meeting.
