The UK prepares a second group of future Ukrainian F-16 Pilots, bringing the total number of trainees up to 200

The British Royal Air Force (RAF), which reported on October 22 that another group of Ukrainian military personnel had completed basic flying training for F-16 jet fighters in the U.K.
According to British Under Secretary of State for Luke Pollard, British instructors have so far trained 200 Ukrainian pilots.
The U.K., along with other allies, has been training Ukrainian pilots in F-16s at a rapid pace due to Kyiv’s urgent need for an air defense against intensifying Russian bombings.

In May, the first group of Ukrainian pilots completed a full training program in the U.S., and in June, Denmark trained 50 Ukrainian F-16 specialists.
Only 11 F-16 pilots fly in Ukraine today, despite a squadron consisting of 40. Ukraine received its first fourth-generation U.S. jets late in July, a year after Denmark and the Netherlands launched a coalition of fighter jets for Kyiv.
