The party claims that about 20 youths attacked Gogichaishvili after his appearance on the PalitraNews show.
The press service reports that Levan Gogichaishvili was transferred to hospital, and is not in critical condition.
The For Georgia party claims that “after Bidzina’s threat it is clear that this was organized by him and it is of course connected to the political activity of Levan Gogichaishvili.”
Giorgi Gakharia responded to the incident via social media. He claimed that the attack had been organized by the ruling political party.
“Levan Gogichaishvili was one of the leaders of our Team. He was attacked by a Dream-organized criminal group, which consisted of about 20 people.
Gakharia said: “If Ivanishvili believes that he can scare us, or Levan who has fought all his life against the violent regime, the National Movement, with their methods and violence, he’s very wrong!”
