Gamkrelidze – In the Week of March 22 Georgia Will Receive Vaccines
Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), has confirmed that the vaccines “AstraZeneca”, “Pfizer”, and “Pfizer” will be delivered to Georgia in the week beginning March 22. He also said that the exact date would be known in a couple of days.
“We communicate almost daily with the Indian Institute which produces the Novavax vaccination. We spoke to them today and they promised that we would get a contract soon. According to written or remote meetings it has been confirmed by the government that the country will receive the “Pfizer”, “AstraZeneca”, and “Pfizer” vaccines on March 22. Both vaccines must be accessed via the COVAX platform. In the near future, the day and flight on which the vaccine is to be sent will be specified. It is important to maintain intensive communication with UNICEF, since they provide vaccines. The UNICEF was contacted to purchase these two vaccines.
