I voted to change, I voted to make Georgia more European. The opposition will win. Nika Gvaramia – the leader of the Coalition for Change – told journalists this after confirming her choice.
Gvaramia has noted that he is calling on Bidzina to take advantage of the last chance in Georgia’s history and peacefully transfer power to the opposition.
“I voted to change, I voted to Georgia’s European Future. I voted in favor of the coalition government, and rejected the old. I urge everyone to vote with their children, ancestors and their gifts in mind. Let’s take Georgia to Europe, the historical choice for Georgia and the choice of future generation. It is clear that the opposition will win and there will be celebrations! I don’t care what the government representatives say. These are their last remarks in this capacity. Georgian immigrants are worthy citizens of Georgia, who proudly carry the Georgian flag around the world. They will have an important impact on the European choice of this country. Immigrants from Moldova have made sure that Moldova is an European country, and its choice was determined once and forever. This has been our position for a long period of time. The majority of our society is pro-European, and we have a place reserved for our immigrants. We all, both inside and outside of the country, have chosen Europe. We are going to Europe!” Gvaramia said.
According to him he hopes “Georgian Dream”, will peacefully transfer the government to the Opposition.
“I hope the government realizes the peaceful change in government is its historic chance to bring something positive into the historical record of this country. This is their only chance. The first peaceful broadcast in this country was in 2012. The second broadcast, which will be a new tradition, will not be an exceptional event. I urge Bidzina to seize the last opportunity to leave a positive mark on the history of Georgia, and to establish a tradition of peaceful power transfer. Georgia needs it and we are ready to wait for it. Adequate now is all that’s needed. Georgia chooses Europe and a pro-Western opposition. It is obvious what to circle but the most important is to not circle 41. In any event, it’s important that Georgia maintains the path of Ilia, Niko, Davit, Guramishvili Nikoloz Baratashvili Shota, Davit, Agmashenebeli, and King Tamar. This road leads only to Europe, Brussels!” said Nika Gvaramia.
