Shalva Papuashvili is the Chairman of the Georgian parliament. He described the upcoming elections as a moral crossroads and urged citizens to support the “Georgian Dream”, which he claimed was essential for the peace and spiritual integrity of the nation.
Papuashvili spoke to the public after casting his vote. He framed the election as a “choice between evil and good.” He encouraged citizens to put on a hat and go to the voting stations, and to support “Georgian Dream,” whom he described in his speech as the guardian for Georgia‘s spirituality, stability, and European aspirations. According to Papuashvili “Georgian Dream”, the party has been instrumental in securing twelve years of peace. He also highlighted its role in fostering progress, prosperity, and alignment with European Ideals.
“Today, our people are faced with a choice of godlessness or spirituality…a decision that is rarely made for them,” Papuashvili said. He positioned “Georgian Dream”, as the only path forward to peace and growth in Georgia.
