The Georgian Parliamentary elections have begun. Various political leaders have cast their votes.
Early in the morning, Salome Zurabishvili cast her vote at Public School No. 67. She expressed her commitment to build a “new Georgia,” a vision that she has pursued over two decades.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze voted as well and encouraged all parties to accept the results of the Central Election Commission peacefully, expressing his belief that radical opposition would not succeed.
Zurab Japaridze, from the ‘Coalition for Change,’ described the day’s events as historic and a turning point in Georgia’s political future.
Giorgi Vashadze, of the ‘Unity – National Movement,’ urged citizens to vote with maximum participation. He said that today’s results will be a turning-point for Georgia.
