The registration of voters and the gathering of many citizens continued within the precincts as well as in the 100 meter perimeter from the precincts.
The negative attitude toward GYLA observers continued throughout the day. GYLA employee/observer Giorgi Gottsiridze was physically assaulted and attacked by a member from the commission at the 4th precinct in Marneuli and by an unknown individual outside the precinct. Giorgi Gottsiridze received threats of physical violence when he reported the violations in the region. We demand that the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia respond immediately to this fact.
The mission is coordinated by 7 regional headquarters and 1 central HQ, which coordinates GYLA’s monitoring missions throughout the country.
On the day of elections, a hotline will be available at the GYLA central headquarters – 577070567. This number allows citizens to receive information on election procedures and report violations. The report states that information on violations can be sent via email – [email protected].
