NATO chief confirms North Korean troops in Russia’s Kursk Oblast

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated on October 28 that North has already sent troops to Russia and they have been deployed in Oblast.
Rutte confirmed reports from and Seoul stating that Pyongyang was sending military personnel to Russia in an effort to deepen the cooperation between the two nations.
After meeting with South Korean defense officials and intelligence officials, the NATO secretary general announced in Brussels that he had confirmed that North Korean troops were sent to Russia and that North Korean military units were deployed to the Kursk area.
This is the first official confirmation by the Secretary General that North Korean troops have arrived in Russia.
Rutte stated that the deployment represents a “significant escalation of (North Korea’s), ongoing involvement in Russia’s illegal war,” and a “dangerous extension of Russia’s war.”
