Stephen Doughty, Minister of European and American Affaires of the United Kingdom, stated that the United Kingdom supports preliminary conclusions of OSCE/ODIHR concerning the parliamentary election held in Georgia on the 26th of October.
He claimed that this report reflects abuses of administrative resources and a highly polarized electoral environment, as well voter intimidation, coercion, and voter intimidation.
The statement stated that “along with the impact on the Georgian law of transparency of foreign influence on the civil society, these actions are not those of an open and democratic society and are in violation of international standards.”
Steven Doughty insists that the Georgian authorities investigate all violations.
“The Government of Georgia should investigate and change its reduced commitment to democracy.” “We will closely monitor this with our international partners and we are ready to support,” said the statement.
