In August, the international TV company DEUTSCHE WELLE released an extensive article on Adjara. The article discusses the sporting and cultural events that take place in Batumi and the variety of marine tourism and mountain tourism products.
“A trip to Georgia is like traveling back in time. It’s located at the crossroads between Europe and Asia. In this cradle for culture and history, a new center for sports and adventure, Batumi, is emerging.
The ecotourism and adventure opportunities in Mountainous Adjara are highlighted, as well as the international sports and culture events that Batumi hosts all year round. “The modern infrastructure of Georgia and its famous hospitality highlight Batumi’s potential to host international sporting and cultural events. This makes it an attractive destination for visitors.”
This year, DEUTSCHE WEELLE broadcast a one-month TV advertisement. As a result, millions of viewers in 190 countries learned about the region, and Georgia, in general.
Georgia’s story of “Ali” and “Nino” was reacted to by millions of subscribers on the social pages of the Channel.
Since a few years, the Adjara Tourism Department has actively collaborated with prestigious international TV companies.
