Kobakhidze : The absurd records of the European Parliament have no value

Irakli Kobakhidze said that even the of the Soviet Union, which is the highest authority in the Soviet Union, would be envious of the absurdity of the European Parliament’ resolution on the health of the former President of , Mikheil Sakaashvili.
Kobakhidze also claimed that the Hungarian MPs did not obey the general coordination against Georgia.
“The absurd records kept by the European Parliament are of no value. I will repeat that even the Supreme Council of the Soviet Union could be envious of such absurdity. This is the third time the European Parliament has made a decision that is so absurd. The European and the European Council did not share the first or second resolution.

The European Parliament has adopted a resolution regarding the health of Mikheil Sakaashvili, the former President of Georgia. The resolution “underlines that Bidzina Ilvanishvili, an , has played a fundamental role in Saakashvili’s continued detention as a part of a vendetta against him”. The European Parliament “reiterates its call to the Council and partner to consider imposing sanctions against Mr Ivanishvili because of his role in deteriorating the political process in Georgia”.
In its resolution, the European parliament expresses grave concern about the deteriorating state of health of the former Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili.
MEPs urge the Georgian authorities release Saakashvili so that he can receive proper medical care abroad. They urge the current president Salome , to pardon him using her constitutional rights.
According to MEPs the continued failure to improve the situation of the former president could hamper Georgia’s EU candidate prospects.
577 MEPs voted in favor of the resolution. 33 voted against, and 26 abstained.
