The destruction of Berdiansk’s railway bridge, which was reportedly carried out in part by Ukraine’s intelligence services and resistance, has cut off a vital supply line, complicating fuel and ammo deliveries for Russian forces.
UNIAN reported that Ukrainian intelligence officers and partisans from Berdiansk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast blew up a railway bridge used to transport military cargo by Russian troops.
The destruction of the bridge has paralyzed all rail connections to Berdiansk. This city has been occupied since 2022 by Russian forces. This disruption has stopped the delivery of weapons, ammunition, and fuel to the Russian military within the occupied Ukrainian town. The operation is said to be part of Ukraine’s effort to stop a Russian offensive in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
“The HUR movement and the resistance movement have conducted an effective special operation.” Residents reported on social media several powerful explosions last night. The railway viaduct (bridge), located between the Vodokanal and a carwash on Vostochny Prospekt, was blown up as a result sabotage.
HUR notes that local occupation media outlets, propagandists and propaganda claim that “all the bridges are intact.” However, they do not show any photos to verify their reports.
HUR revealed that a Russian collaborator and a Ukrainian judge Vitalii Lomeiko was found dead earlier in Berdiansk.
A car near the Port exploded, killing Lomeiko. Lomeiko was involved in persecuting Ukrainians and committing war crime.
