On Oct. 28, President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Iceland to attend the fourth Ukraine – Northern Europe Summit and meet Nordic leaders.
Zelensky will be making his first official visit to the country. He will meet with the prime from Iceland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
Zelensky stated on X that “The Nordic countries represent our principled and resolute ally, and the Ukraine-Nordic Platform is one of our most fruitful multilateral formats.”
According to the President, the talks will be focused on international support for Ukraine’s five-step plan for victory and on “financing Ukrainian weapon production and long-range capability, winterization efforts and maritime security, restrictions on Russia’s , enhancement of defense assistance and providing training and equipment for Ukrainian Forces.”
The Ukrainian president will also attend the Nordic Council session, an inter-parliamentary group of Nordic countries. He will meet with Iceland’s parliamentary leadership and attend the session.
Zelensky attended the third Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit in Stockholm, Sweden in May.
