Israel has passed by a large majority two laws that prohibit the UN’s Palestinian Refugee Agency (Unrwa), from operating in Israel and in areas under its control.
A number of countries including the US, UK and Germany have expressed serious concerns about the move.
The US State Department expressed “deep concern” about the move ahead of the vote. It said that the agency played a “critical role” in distributing humanitarian assistance in the Gaza Strip.
