Ursula von der Leyen says that the Georgian people has been fighting for democracy for many years. Georgians should be in charge of their own destiny, just like all Europeans.  

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission said that Georgians should be masters over their own destiny as all Europeans are.
According to her, Georgians have a right to know about what happened over the weekend.
“The Georgian people have fought and strove for democracy for many years. They have a right to know what took place this weekend, and to have election violations investigated in a transparent and independent manner. “Georgians, like all Europeans should be masters over their own destiny,” stated Ursula von der Leyen.
