Transparency International Georgia reported that after the start of the conflict in Ukraine, Russian citizens established 21,326 Georgian companies, which is three-times more than the previous 27 year figure.
According to the organization, between January 1995 and February 2022, 7788 Russian companies were established in Georgia by Russian citizens, and this number tripled from March 2022 to July 2023.
According to the data of the organization, after the beginning of the war in Ukraine Russian citizens registered an average of 1,300 businesses per month in Georgia.
