Giorgi Santuriani is the head of the CEC’s legal department. He reported that 1 170 complaints had been filed in relation to the 2024 parliamentary election, showing a positive decline since 2020. Santuriani stated that as of October 29 the results of 366 polling stations were re-examined, and 334 were unchanged, with only 32 minor changes.
In 2020, 2,054 complaints were filed, and in 2021, 1,840.
Below is a detailed breakdown.
* Supervising Institutions: 570 grievances. This is a decrease from 629 in 2020 and 599 in 2021.
* Number of candidates: 600, down from 1,425 in 2019.
Below are the types of complaints and their frequency:
* Recount regarding invalidity : 544
* Seeking disciplinary actions: 428
The CEC will publish more detailed statistical data on its website by November 3, with a deadline set for this.
