“Gakharia Georgia”, a Georgian organization, appeals to the court for the protection of information on the CEC’s electronic devices and servers. It also wants the CEC to provide voting information to voters.
Natia Mezvrishvili said in a press conference that they have information indicating that the databases of the CEC servers were being manipulated and the data on the electronic devices was being deleted.
“Until now, CEC has refused to comply with our request and make voting information available for voters.
The CEC does not provide us with complete information on the contract signed by “Smart Matik“. We are referring to the documentation that governs the storage of an unified list of electors in electronic voting machines. This includes the period for which the list is stored and the procedures used to delete this information.
Currently, this information is stored on CEC servers as well as electronic devices.
According to information we have, the databases on CEC servers were fudged and the data on electronic devices was deleted.
Every day of delay increases the risk of damaging vital evidence. This is only in the interests of the “dream”.
We have therefore today appealed to a court to ensure that the information is protected wherever it may be stored and to compel the CEC to comply to our request.
Mezvrishvili said that “Dream” would destroy any evidence for an objective investigation and it would be impossible to protect hundreds of voters’ electoral rights.
