Ukrinform reported that German government Steffen Hbestreit gave briefing to address critical questions regarding Germany’s military assistance for Ukraine. Hebestreit stressed that the delays weapon supply are not primarily due to financial reasons, but rather system availability constraints.
The comment follows recent remarks made by Ukrainian who noted that pledged by Ukraine’s Allies are only partially delivered amid intensified Russian aerial attacks. Zelenskyy noted that only 10% of the US approved by Congress in earlier this year had arrived.
The spokesperson said:
The question is not “will something be delivered?” but rather, the extent of delivery that can be achieved. There are always limits, not because of our ability to finance but due to the availability and cost of weapons.
Hebestreit confirmed Germany’s ongoing efforts to maintain consistent weapon supply, revealing that most recent aid package has been delivered two weeks ago. Berlin is actively reviewing possible military options, and encourages partner countries to do the same.
