On August 23, a 32-meter Ukrainian banner will be unfurled at Tbilisi. A flash mob will gather on the Bridge of Peace at 19:00 to celebrate the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine.
The 32-meter Ukrainian Flag will be unfurled on the Peace Bridge by Ukrainians who have been displaced from Georgia due to the war, Georgian activists, Ukrainian non-governmental groups, children, and ordinary citizens. 32 is a symbol and represents the years of independence for Ukraine.
The organizers of the flashmob said: “Together, we will unfurl 32-meter-long banner as a symbol of Ukraine’s independence for 32 years. This is thanks to all our friends around the world.”
The flash mob starts on August 23, at 19:00. The gathering of interested parties will begin at 1840 on the right side of Mtkvari near the Bridge of Peace.
The Georgian-Ukrainian Platform is the organizer of the event. The Georgian-Ukrainian Platform and its cofounder, Valentina Martjanishvili have been working to help thousands of Ukrainians who were displaced since February 24, 2022. These projects include psychological support, human aid, education, medical assistance, housing, legal counselling, or any other type of assistance.
