Ukraine is negotiating with Hungary a comprehensive document to address challenges, to seek support for NATO membership and to prevent potential blocks to Zelenskyy’s victory strategy.
Public broadcaster Suspilne reported that Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the ongoing preparations of a bilateral document between Ukraine & Hungary, which aims to resolve historical and current misunderstandings.
Hungary, the EU member with the most pro-Russian views, has consistently opposed collective military aid to Ukraine. It is the only EU country that refuses to send arms to Kyiv and maintains close ties with Russia since the full-scale invasion.
Zelenskyy, speaking in Zakarpattia Oblast Zelenskyy highlighted the document’s ability to address complex issues. He focused on minorities rights and geopolitical problems.
“We would like to see a bilateral agreement between Ukraine and Hungary,” said he.
