Local authorities reported that Russia attacked Kharkiv, Ukraine on November 1, killing one police officer and injuring 30 others.
Two missiles struck a police station and killed police officer Andrii Mattvienko. The attack injured 26 police officers and 4 civilians, according to Kharkiv Regional Police.
According to preliminary data, Russia used either Iskander-M missiles or S-300/S-400 to strike the city. The two explosions occurred at around 4 p.m., local time.
Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov stated that the strikes caused damage to 14 residential buildings as well as heating networks and water supply systems.
Local authorities say that emergency services are still clearing the rubble. There may be more victims under the rubble.
Kharkiv, a city in the northeast of Ukraine, has been subjected to Russian attacks for two years now. In recent months, Moscow intensified its aerial attacks, often targeting densely-populated neighborhoods.
