Shalva Papuashvili, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, wrote about this on social media, responding to comments made by European Parliamentarian Rasa Jukneviciene concerning the parliamentary election.
Papuashvili writes that Jukneviciene’s statement was unacceptable and insulting. She stated: “The Georgians are closing the door to Europe, but they are doing it by their own hands, by those who voted in favor of the “Georgian Dream“.
“It was easy for me to see that this would all end up like this. Some people seem to think that Georgians are replaceable.
This statement by the representative of the Lithuanian representative party is both unacceptable and insulting.
Georgia is not just its territory, but the Georgian people“, writes Shalva Papuashvili.
