The US Department of the Treasury announced new sanctions against companies and individuals in 17 countries for their support of Russia’s military.
The US Department of the Treasury announced that the United States had imposed new sanctions against 275 individuals and organizations involved in providing Russia advanced technologies and equipment.
Since the beginning of the Ukraine conflict, the US has imposed multiple rounds of sanctions against Russia and Russian entities. These sanctions have targeted a variety of Russian individuals, businesses, banks, and energy companies. These sanctions are designed to limit Russia’s ability for funding and maintaining its military operations in Ukraine.
The sanctions target individuals and companies from 17 countries including Russia, India and China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkiye and Thailand, Malaysia and Switzerland.
The US State Department also tracks sanctions avoidance in third countries, which includes several Chinese companies that export dual-use products.
