Former SBU officer and military expert Ivan Stupak announced that Ukraine was testing its AI-powered Drones, which could track and intercept Russian Shaheds moving at speeds of over 150 km/h.
Ivan Stupak, former Security Service officer and Ukrainian military expert, told Radio NV that Ukraine is testing drones produced domestically capable of automatically identifying “ UAVs”.
In recent months, Russia intensified its drone strikes on Ukraine. It used various types of drones including Iranian-made Shaheds to strike critical infrastructures and urban areas. This strategy is designed to disrupt Ukraine’s electricity grid and create fear among civilians, resulting in deaths and damage in multiple regions.
Ukraine has also increased its drone capabilities by launching long-range attacks deep into Russian territory. Ukraine’s growing drone expertise is evident in notable attacks on military installations and logistic hubs.
“Ukraine tests its drones which can target ‘Shaheds’ even if they are flying at speeds above 150 km/h up to 200 km/h using artificial intelligence. We hope that this will mean the number of Russian UAVs will not increase significantly. In , there were 2,000 Russian UAVs over Ukraine.
Experts also explained that there haven’t been any recent massive missile attacks due to the destruction by of Russian ammunition depots, military equipment and storage.
The destruction of these depots by the and the Security Service as well as the Main Intelligence Directorate has delayed the large-scale Russian missile attacks. It’s not because the don’t possess . They just have to move them out of other depots to prevent attacks from Ukraine, explained Stupak.
According to him it is possible that will resume in or Decembre.
“The Russians may be waiting for colder temperatures to launch their attacks.” It’s unlikely, however, that they have abandoned their plans.
On 3 November, Russia launched aerial assault against Ukraine, using 96 Shahed drones, one missile and Ukrainian air defenses.
According to Ukraine’s Air Force (UAF), the Russians launched guided aircraft missile Kh-59/69 in the airspace of Kursk Oblast and 96 attack-drones from Bryansk and PrimorskoAkhtarsk. By 9 am, air defenses confirmed the downing of one missile and 66 drones in Kyiv and other oblasts including Sumy, Khmelnytskyi Zhytomyr Cherkasy Kirovohrad Poltava Dnipropetrovsk Kharkiv.
