The Twitter account of the Spanish Mission in NATO reported that Javier Colomina, a diplomat, has been appointed as the Special Representative for Central Asia and the South Caucasus by the Secretary General of NATO.
Javier Colomina is also the Deputy Assistant Secretariat General for Political Affairs & Security Policy.
Javier Colomina succeeds James Appathurai who held the position since 2010.
