Kazem Jalali, the Iranian Ambassador to Russia, said on November 4 that Russia will launch two Iranian Satellites, Kowsar & Hodhod into orbit using a Soyuz Launcher on Nov. 5.
Jalali stated on X that “in continuation of the development scientific and technological collaboration between Iran and Russia, Kowsar, and Hodhow will be launched in 500-kilometer orbit by a Soyuz Launcher on Tuesday, November (5) at 2:48 Tehran Time.”
The delivery of two satellites to Russia, which was reported on October 12, highlights the growing cooperation between the two Western-sanctioned nations.
Kowsar is a high-resolution satellite for imaging. It’s designed to be used in agriculture, environmental monitoring and disaster management. Hodhod is a small communication satellite that aims to provide satellite connectivity in remote areas where terrestrial networks are limited.
The United States has expressed concern about the possible military implications of Russia’s launch of Iranian satellites in orbit in February, and again in 2022. These officials are concerned that the satellites may support Russia’s military operations in Ukraine, and assist Iran to monitor military targets throughout Israel and the Middle East.
Since the outbreak of a full-scale conflict in 2022, the ties between Moscow & Tehran have grown. Iran has supplied Russia with thousands Shahed drones that were used in attacks on Ukraine and even for close-range missiles.

Overnight, Russia launched 80 Shaheds as well as other drones. Ukrainian air defenses shot off 50 of them, while 27 were “lost”, the Air Force reported.
According to reports, the instructions were distributed among Russian troops. According to Kyiv, Moscow’s losses have reached 700,000.

Andrii Kovalenko didn’t provide any additional details about the circumstances of the engagement, or possible losses for the North Korean side.
This includes 1,300 casualties that Russian forces have suffered in the last day.
The Finnish authorities have announced that a new political museum will open at the same location on February 15, 2025. The museum’s focus will be on Finnish-Russian relationships, including developments of the 21st Century.
“This would be a very dangerous escalation in the war in Ukraine.” Stephane Dujarric said that everything must be done to prevent any internationalization of the conflict.

City officials reported that on Nov. 3, Russia launched its latest drone strike overnight on Ukraine. The attack lasted more than five hours and targeted the capital. Kyiv was rocked by several waves of explosions throughout the night.
On Nov. 3, Governor Oleksandr PROKUDIN reported that Russian troops shelled Bilozerka, a village in Kherson Oblast. A paramedic and a driver of an ambulance were wounded.
Hungarian Prime Minster Viktor Orban stated in a radio conversation on Nov. 3 that “Europe cannot stay pro-war” if Donald Trump is elected U.S. President, as reported by Telex. Orban was supposedly referring the EU’s military assistance to Ukraine which he has repeatedly criticized.
After “a public reaction,” Google representatives contacted the Ukrainian side, and the company is already working on fixing the issue, Andrii Kovalenko, the head of the counter-disinformation department at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, said in a later update on social media.
According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, the majority of these strikes targeted critical infrastructure and civilian facilities.
