The 2024 campaign was different from other pre-election campaigns in that the radical opposition had no relationship with their voters. Now they are fighting electronic gadgets, which is hilarious! Davit Matikashvili, a member of “Georgian Dream”, told journalists that this was the case.
Matikashvili said that the opposition did no campaign for elections because they were sure that the issue was resolved outside of the country.
“The opposition didn’t kill itself by meeting the voters before. They never had an elementary programme, but they tried it before.
They thought that the issue wouldn’t be decided by Georgian voters, but rather someone from outside the country. They thought so.
Davit Matikashvili said that “Georgian Dream won the elections with 1 million and 125 000 votes – it is ridiculous to talk about fraud”.
