Ukraine has prioritized the destruction of Russian air defense . The destruction of Russian air defense systems opens the door to more effective drone and missile by Ukraine, as well as a greater operational use of Ukraine’s aircraft. Since October 22, Ukraine has targeted five medium- and long-range air defence systems as well as two Russian radars. In that time, several more short-range air defense systems were destroyed.
According to the video footage, the Brigade’s Strike Drones Company began the operation by locating the target with a reconnaissance drone and then coordinated the subsequent strikes. Militarnyi claims that the FlyEye reconnaissance drone is likely the model shown in the video.
Militarnyi notes that the drones used to carry out the strike were FPV drones. However, the -quality footage “doesn’t allow a definitive assessment of strike results,” Militarnyi says.
