Two missiles fired by Russia were intercepted. These attacks did not result in any casualties, but Russian bombs inflicted two injuries.
Ukraine’s air defenses successfully countered an attack by Russia involving 79 Shahed missiles and drones over night on November 4-5, reports the Ukrainian Air Force, which commands the Air Defense Forces. Two civilian women were injured by the bombings of Kharkiv City by Russia.
Russia continues to launch deliberate daily air strikes on residential areas, in an attempt to terrorize civilians. Every night, the Russian forces launch dozens – usually Iranian-designed Shahed131 or 136- of “kamikaze”, long-range drones. They also often launch several missiles at the same time. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, reported yesterday that Russia had attacked Ukraine in October with more than 2,000 Shahed long-range “kamikaze” drones. These drones are usually Iranian-designed Shahed 131 or 136.
According to the Air Force of Russia, 79 drones were launched from Russia’s Bryansk and Kursk oblasts. Ukrainian forces destroyed 48 drones in multiple oblasts. Thirty others vanished from radar tracking and one returned to Russia.
The drones that dropped from radar could have been jammed with electronic warfare tools, or they may have been unarmed decoys who ran out of fuel and crashed. Russia often uses false targets to try and overwhelm Ukraine’s air defense systems.
The Air Force reports on the fact that Russian forces also launched two Kh-59/69 missiles, which were shot down, from the Black Sea towards Odesa Oblast and conducted guided bombing attacks on Kharkiv Oblast.
Suspilne, a public broadcaster, reports that the air defense forces have shot down both missiles aimed at Odesa Oblast following the air raid warning in the region on 4 November 20:31. This was in response to reports of Russian tactical aircraft activity in the south direction.

The North Operational Command reports in their Telegram channel that “15 drones were destroyed by Siversk Operational Tactical Command forces and means, while 3 were eliminated by air command forces.” The OTC Siversk’s zone of responsibility is northern/northeastern Ukraine’s Chernihiv, Sumy, and Poltava oblasts.
Vitalii Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, reports that air defenses are active in the Holosiivskyi- and Obolonskyi-districts. According to Ruslan Kravchenko of the Kyiv Oblast military administration,
