US charges American company for bypassing Russian export sanctions

Oleg Nayandin, Vitaliy Borysenko and Eleview International Inc. were indicted on charges of exporting dual-use products and telecommunications gear to in violation with . They could face prison sentences up to 20 years.
Militanyi reports that the US Department of Justice has charged Eleview International Inc., and two of its executives with exporting millions of US dollars of technology to Russia against sanctions.
Oleg Nayandin, 54, and Vitaliy Borysenko (39), both Virginia residents, appeared in front of a federal judge at the Eastern District of Virginia on 4 November. They were accused of conspiring to violate control laws.
Matt Olsen is the US Assistant Attorney National Security. According to him, the defendants whose citizenship was not specified used three tax evasion strategies to bypass the export sanctions imposed on Russia after the 2022 war.
Eleview International Inc. is alleged to have sent American goods and technology to Russia from March 2022 until June via Kazakhstan, Turkiye and Finland.
The US Department of Justice has noted that the defendants export telecommunications equipment valued at approximately $1.48 Million as part of the Turkiye scheme.
The accused also export goods worth approximately $.45million that could be used to produce drones under the Finnish scheme.
The company also exported dual-use products worth approximately $1.47million to Russia via Kazakhstan.
Nayandin, Borysenko and their accomplices could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison if convicted.
