The Defense Ministers signed a Memorandum establishing joint production in response to Ukraine’s ongoing needs.
Rustem Umierov, Ukrainian Minister of Defense, announced on November 4, 2024 that Ukraine and Lithuania had signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a joint production of military gear.
Lithuania is one of the most ardent supporters of Ukraine. It supplies weapons, ammunition and armored cars, while also pushing for more EU and NATO support. The country contributes 0.25% (or around EUR190 million) of its GDP to Ukraine’s defense every year.
