The Republican majority the has led to major changes in the executive and judicial nominees process Biden.
According to projections from Associated Press, Republicans have taken control of the US Senate after key by Donald ‘s allies.
The Republican victory means that they will be able to confirm presidential nominees and federal judges and have significant influence over future tax and spending legislation.
With at least 51 seats, Republicans can block initiatives. They will also be able to play major role in the fate expiring Trump-era taxes worth trillions of dollar.
The AP, citing a source, reports that Republicans plan to erode Biden’s climate legislation, roll back for energy production, reinforce the US border with Mexico, and extend Trump’s tax breaks from 2017.
Ted Cruz and Rick Scott, Republican incumbents in and respectively, retained their seats. In Maryland, Angela Alsobrooks defeated former Republican Governor Larry Hogan.
