According to Ketevan Chchava, the investigation that has been started by the Prosecutor‘s Office will interview or question all those who have information about the possible fraud in the elections.
Londa Toloraia was interviewed by the magistrate today in front of the judges, as she told journalists.
Toloraia, according to Chachava when speaking about the possible falsification, limited herself to information reported in the press and stated that he had not directly attended this process.
“As you are aware, the General Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the possibility of falsifying the parliamentary election. In the mass media, opinions about election fraud and violations of the law were expressed by both political party representatives and non–governmental organizations. In the course of the investigation that has been launched by the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia all those who have information about election fraud will be interrogated or interviewed in the investigative body. We ask that they provide concrete evidence. We will plan investigative actions and conduct a transparent, objective, and complete investigation. The magistrate judge summoned the witness who was questioned today based on information provided by the “My Voice” observation mission. Although the testimony was based primarily on the briefings given by them and on the circumstances described in the complaints, there were no specific details. The relevant authorities will be asked to provide various evidences, which were not presented in today’s court session. Unfounded are fears that certain investigative steps will not be taken. All necessary investigative steps will be taken to establish objective truth in this case”, said the prosecutor.
