“Preventing violence and punishing perpetrators of violence against girls is a major problem today.” – Nino TILOSANI
Nino Tsilosani is a member of Permanent Parliamentary Gender Equality Council. He addressed Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri in his speech during the “Minister Hour”.
She called on the Minister to personally supervise the investigations of sexual crimes, and punish properly the alleged perpetrators.
“Preventing and punishing violence against girls under the age of 18 is a major problem today. Tsilosani stated that it is your responsibility to handle these cases effectively. This is especially true when we, the Parliamentary Gender Equality Council continue to work towards such important legislative changes as calling sexual harassment of a child aged 11 years old rape.
