Georgian officials and politicians have already congratulated Donald Trump on his expected victory.
“Congratulations, Mr. Donald Trump, on your election. “A strong U.S. – our strategic partner and a friend of 33 years – is needed more than ever to support Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic Integration, bolster regional stability and security, and safeguard our independence and freedom,” Georgian president Salome Zurabishvili said on X.

Ruling Party
The ruling Georgian Dream Party was confident that Donald Trump would be elected during the pre-election campaigns, claiming that a Republican takeover would lead a reset of U.S.-Georgian relationships.
Mamuka Madinaradze, the Executive Secretary of Georgian Dream, was the first to react. She said, “We are happy that peace and traditional values have also won in the United States of America.”
The Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze congratulated the U.S. and Georgian relations. “Congratulations on President Donald Trump’s decisive election victory. I am confident that the leadership of President Trump will promote peace in our region and globally as well as ensure a restart in U.S. – Georgia relations,” he wrote in X.

Opposition
The opposition leaders also congratulated President Donald Trump.
Former PM Giorgi Gakharia wrote on X, “Congratulations President Donald Trump for winning the elections. In these difficult times, Georgia, and the international community as a whole, need strong US leadership to safeguard freedom and democracy, ensure peace and security, and promote rules-based international orders. I’m confident with the US Georgia will restore its path to democracy, Euro-Atlantic Integration, as well our bilateral strategic relationships.”
