Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Dachiashvili announced in Budapest that the Prime Minister of Georgia will begin his visit to Hungary where he’ll participate in a meeting of the European Union. The meeting will be attended by leaders of EU member states and candidates.
According to his assessment this is a very significant format that was created at President Macron’s initiative and is an intriguing mechanism for bringing countries associated with the European Union closer together.
“The Prime Minister is expected to participate in a variety of discussions, and will be the very first to address the issue of economic security. The economic development in Georgia is a priority for our country. The Prime Minister of Georgia will give a speech during this discussion, which will be presided over by the German Chancellor. The Prime Minister should attend the summary plenary, where the discussion with the leaders from EU member states and candidate nations will be summarized. Ilia Darchiashvili said that we believe it is important to participate in such a platform because one of the main pillars of our country’s policy is European Integration. In addition to the bilateral co-operation between Georgia and the European Union and to continue Georgia’s successful European integration, we take advantage of all the opportunities available to us.
