Radoslaw Sikorski, Polish Foreign Minister, said at a news conference held on November 6, that European nations need to take their security policies more seriously in light of Donald Trump’s election victory in the United States.

Warsaw has been a vocal advocate of Ukraine on the international stage, urging Kyiv to get all the weapons it needs to win the war Russia started. It has provided Ukraine around $3.5 billion worth of military aid since 2022.
Trump has repeatedly said that he will end the war in 24 hours if he is elected, but he has not shared the details of his plan. His advisors have suggested withholding U.S. Military Aid to Ukraine until Kyiv agrees with Russia to negotiate.
