Irakli Kokohidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, is attending the European Political Union Summit in Budapest, Hungary’s capital.
The Hungarian Prime minister Viktor Orban will host the leaders of around 40 states that are participating in this summit.
According to the Georgian government administration, Prime Minister Tsipras stressed the importance of the Summit and noted that he would be discussing the ongoing processes in Georgia as well as the Georgia-EU relationship during the event.
“It’s particularly interesting that this event will be held in Budapest, Hungary shortly after the USA Presidential elections. I will give a speech both at the closing session and at the thematic panels, where messages about our country and the current events in our country will be heard. We will also be able to speak with European leaders on all the interesting topics in relation to Georgia-EU relations. We will also discuss Georgia’s top foreign policy priority – integration into the European Union. We will discuss the current processes in Georgia, and the relationship between Georgia and European Union”, said Irakli Kobakhidze.
The main topic of discussion at the fifth summit is the challenges facing European security. The summit will include thematic discussions. The Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is scheduled to deliver a speech during the panel discussion on the topic of economic security and connectivity as well as the final plenary of the summit.
Levan Zhorzholiani, the head of the Georgian Government Administration, and Ilia Darchiashvili, the Minister of Foreign Affair’s Ilia Darchiashvili are part of the delegation that attends the summit of the European Political Union.
