Salome Zurabishvili brought flowers to the memorial to pay tribute to the sailors killed in the August 2008 war at Poti Harbor.
“This memorial in Poti’s port is a place to remember this very difficult incident of the 2008 war.
“Today also marks the birthday of Giorgi Ansukhelidze – the national hero for Georgia – and I want to remember all those who gave their lives in the 2008 war to gain the independence of Georgia. “These are dates we should never forget,” said the President.
