The US Ambassador in Georgia Robin Dunnigan said that despite the results of the US and Georgia elections, the friendly relations between the two peoples would not change.
“I believe that no political election will change the relationships between the people of Georgia, and the United States. The relationship between our companies, our universities, our businesses, our think tanks, our institutions, our military, our law enforcement agencies, all of these relations will endure any election, regardless of the outcome in any country,” Robin Dunnigan said at the election breakfast hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce.
She said that the partnership between Georgia and the US is long-term, and will endure political changes and moods.
Donald Trump, a Republican, won the US presidential election on November 5.
